Rethink Rhyl’s campaign spanned a 6 week intensely active programme where we were on a path to a public engagement event for the dramatic redevelopment of Rhyl pier-front.
From planning engagement, rallying support, talking and listening online, involving radio coverage and national press, we were able to challenge the thinking of the historic seaside town and generate popular support for the future development proposals.
What was achieved:
• National Press Coverage with ITV
• An engaged audience on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram
• Positive feedback through the Public Consultation event just days before Christmas (a time when most active audiences are generally in the mood for festive fun and not construction proposals!)

Once this was running effectively, I then mentored the Chambers Marketing Officer on a monthly basis, setting goals each month and creating bespoke 1-2-1 training to enable her to confidently manage the Chamber’s marketing communications.
We would meet in person once a month, followed-up by a phone call every two weeks. Our sessions focused on social media messaging, creating a consistent marketing plan and project management of their social media platforms. Each message was pre-planned and carefully constructed to rally support for the business awards and gain a better understanding of the Chamber in their local networks.
